Digital Health Raises $7.4B in H1 2026 as Megadeals Dominate: Rock Health

US digital health companies raised $7.4 billion across 244 deals — up $1 billion year over year — with $100M+ rounds accounting for 45% of all capital and Q2 posting the busiest M&A quarter since 2021.

US digital health companies raised $7.4 billion across 244 deals in the first half of 2026, according to Rock Health's "Durable roots, shifting routes" report — surpassing the $6.4 billion raised in the same period last year on identical deal volume.

45%of all capital came from rounds of $100 million or more — 19 megadeals, 13 of them to first-time megadeal recipients.

The quarterly split: $4.2 billion in Q1 against $3.2 billion in Q2, while the median deal size climbed to $14 million from $12 million in 2025. Fewer companies are raising, but the ones that do are raising bigger. Notable rounds included Aidoc ($150M), eMed ($200M), Nourish ($100M), Midi Health ($100M), and Garner Health ($100M).

Mental health leads — again

Mental health held the top clinical funding position for the seventh consecutive year, powered by Talkiatry's $210 million Series D and Grow Therapy's $150 million round, with weight management and GLP-1-adjacent companies close behind.

Exits wake up

The half's most encouraging signal was on the exit side: 115 acquisitions, with Q2's 71 making it the busiest M&A quarter since Q3 2021. Public markets brightened too — Hinge Health more than doubled its IPO price on $182 million of Q1 revenue (up 47% year over year), Oura filed a confidential S-1, and Whoop raised $575 million at a $10.1 billion valuation. The counterpoint: GoHealth filed for Chapter 11, a reminder that the sorting continues.

Perhaps the report's most telling detail: Rock Health has stopped labeling AI as a distinguishing feature, because effectively every company claims it. As the analysts put it, AI "has made more tailored implementations possible, but has also flooded buyers with new options, raising expectations for measurable ROI."
